EasyMarkets Review
When EasyMarkets was founded in 2001, its mission was to transform trading from an activity reserved for wealthy individuals or institutions into a market that anyone could access, with initial deposits starting at $25 and funding available online via credit card – rather than a lengthy bank transfer.
easyMarkets provides traders with a specialised online platform that enables them to trade from anywhere using any internet-enabled device and internet connection. There are also a number of built-in analytical tools, as well as access to over 200 trading instruments and features like dealCancellation, Freeze Rate, and Free Guaranteed Stop Loss and Take Profit.
At easyMarkets, all client money is kept separate from business funds and is maintained safe and secure in top-tier, low-credit-risk worldwide institutions. easyMarkets also claims to have enough liquid capital to cover all client deposits, future currency changes, and overdue expenditures..
easyMarkets is regulated by both ASIC and CySEC, and offers clients negative balance protection with their funds held in segregated accounts.

2) Executing Trades
With EasyMarkets, the minimum and maximum trade requirements vary depending on the trader and the instrument.
EasyMarkets may have lower entrance criteria as a market maker than an ECN broker, which benefits from a higher number of transactions and usually has higher capital and minimum trading requirements. Market makers generally have a lower minimum deposit, lower minimum trade requirements, and no trading commission.
EasyMarkets is one of the few brokers who promise to have no requotes, so you won’t have to worry about slippage (your trades being ordered at a different price to what you executed them at).
As with most brokers, margin requirements do vary depending on the trader, accounts and instruments. You can see the latest margin requirements on their website.
EasyMarkets also provides a variety of risk management tools, including as stop losses (with trailing stops), limit orders, negative balance protection, price alerts, and much more. You may view all of EasyMarkets’ account features here.

4) What you’ll need to open an account with EasyMarkets
Because EasyMarkets is regulated by CySEC and ASIC, every new customer must pass a few simple compliance tests to verify that you understand the risks of trading and that you are permitted to trade. When you establish an account, you will most likely be asked for the following information, so have it handy:
- A scanned colour copy of your passport, driving license or national ID
- A utility bill or bank statement from the past three months showing your address
You’ll also need to answer a few basic compliance questions to prove your trading expertise, so allow at least 10 minutes to finish the account opening procedure.
While you might be able to explore their platform straight away, it’s important to note that you won’t be able to make any trades until you pass compliance, which can take up to several days, depending on your situation.
