Understanding Deposit Methods for Peruvian Traders
Peru offers a mix of traditional and modern payment methods for forex funding. The most common are Bank Transfer (transferencia bancaria), Skrill (an e-wallet), and USDT (cryptocurrency stablecoin). Each has its own speed, cost, and convenience. Bank transfers are widely accepted but can be slow and costly for international wires. Skrill is instant and widely supported by brokers, but you must fund your Skrill account first. USDT is fast and avoids bank fees, but requires a crypto wallet and understanding of blockchain networks.
Step 1: Choose a Regulated Broker
Before depositing, select a broker that accepts Peruvian clients and is regulated by a reputable authority like the FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus), or FSCA (South Africa). Avoid unregulated brokers. Check if the broker supports your preferred payment method (Bank Transfer, Skrill, USDT) and offers accounts in USD. For example, Exness and IC Markets accept Peruvian clients and support all three methods.
Step 2: Complete Registration and KYC
After choosing a broker, create an account. Provide your full name, email, phone number, and set the account currency to USD. You will need to upload a copy of your DNI (national ID) or passport, and a proof of address (utility bill or bank statement in your name). Verification typically takes 24-48 hours. Without KYC, you cannot deposit or trade.
Step 3: Select Your Deposit Method
Log into your broker’s client area, go to the deposit section, and choose your method. For Bank Transfer, you will receive the broker’s bank details (often in the US or Europe). For Skrill, enter your Skrill email. For USDT, the broker provides a wallet address. Always double-check the deposit address or details to avoid errors.
Step 4: Execute the Deposit
For Bank Transfer, initiate an international wire from your Peruvian bank (e.g., BCP, Interbank, BBVA). Include the broker’s reference number in the transfer description. For Skrill, log into your Skrill account, select 'Send Money,' enter the broker’s email, and confirm. For USDT, send the required amount from your wallet (e.g., Binance, Trust Wallet) to the broker’s address on the correct blockchain (usually TRC-20 for low fees).
Step 5: Confirm and Start Trading
After the deposit, check your broker’s account balance. Bank transfers may take 2-5 business days, while Skrill and USDT are usually instant or within minutes. Once the funds appear, you can start trading on MT4, MT5, or the broker’s platform. Always keep a screenshot of the transaction as proof.
