How to Withdraw from Forex Broker
Understanding Withdrawal Methods for Colombian Traders
Colombian traders have several options to withdraw funds from forex brokers. The most common methods are Bank Transfer, Skrill, and USDT (crypto). Each has its own speed, fees, and limits. Bank transfers are reliable but slower, taking 2-5 business days. Skrill is faster (24-48 hours) and widely accepted. USDT is the fastest, often processed within minutes, and avoids bank delays. Always check your broker's withdrawal policy before requesting.
Step 1: Verify Your Account (KYC)
Before any withdrawal, you must complete Know Your Customer (KYC) verification. Colombian traders need to upload a clear copy of their cédula de ciudadanía (or cédula de extranjería for foreigners) and a proof of address (utility bill or bank statement). This process usually takes 24-48 hours. Without KYC, your withdrawal will be blocked.
Step 2: Log In to Your Broker Account
Go to your broker's website or trading platform (MT4/MT5). Navigate to the 'Withdrawal' or 'Funds' section. You will see available methods. Select your preferred one.
Step 3: Choose Withdrawal Method
Select Bank Transfer, Skrill, or USDT. For Bank Transfer, you will need your Colombian bank account details (bank name, account number, and sometimes a SWIFT code). For Skrill, enter your Skrill email. For USDT, provide your USDT wallet address (ensure it supports the correct network, e.g., TRC-20 or ERC-20).
Step 4: Enter Amount and Confirm
Enter the amount you want to withdraw (usually in USD). Most brokers have minimum withdrawal limits (e.g., $50-$100). Confirm the request. You may receive an email or SMS verification code for security.
Step 5: Wait for Processing
Processing times vary: USDT (instant to 1 hour), Skrill (24-48 hours), Bank Transfer (2-5 business days). If you withdraw on a weekend or holiday, expect delays. Track your withdrawal in the transaction history.
Step 6: Receive Funds
Once processed, funds appear in your Skrill account, USDT wallet, or Colombian bank account. For bank transfers, check with your bank for any additional fees or conversion rates.
