How to Use TradingView for Forex
Getting Started with TradingView in Tonga
First, visit TradingView.com and create a free account. You can sign up using your email or Google account. Once logged in, you'll see the main interface with a default chart. For forex trading, you need to select your currency pair—for example, EUR/USD or GBP/JPY. Use the 'Symbol Search' bar at the top to type in the pair. Tonga traders often focus on USD pairs due to the USD being the base currency for many local transactions.
Customizing Your Chart
TradingView offers dozens of indicators, drawing tools, and timeframes. Add indicators like Moving Averages, RSI, or Bollinger Bands by clicking the 'Indicators' button. You can also save your chart layout as a template for future use. This is especially useful if you trade multiple pairs or strategies.
Setting Up Alerts
Alerts are crucial for Tonga traders who may not be able to monitor charts all day due to time zone differences (Tonga is UTC+13). Click the alarm clock icon to set price alerts, indicator alerts, or even drawing tool alerts. You'll receive notifications via email or push notification.
Connecting Your Broker
To trade directly from TradingView, go to the 'Trading Panel' at the bottom and click 'Connect Broker'. Choose a supported broker that accepts Tonga residents, such as IC Markets or Exness. Follow the prompts to authorize the connection. You can then place orders directly from the chart.
