How to Use TradingView for Forex
What is TradingView and Why Use It?
TradingView is a powerful web-based charting platform used by forex traders worldwide, including in North Macedonia. It offers real-time forex data, hundreds of technical indicators, and social trading features. Unlike MT4 or MT5, TradingView runs directly in your browser or on mobile, making it easy to access from anywhere. For North Macedonia traders, TradingView provides a user-friendly interface that helps analyze currency pairs like EUR/USD, GBP/JPY, and USD/CHF.
Step 1: Create a TradingView Account
Go to TradingView.com and sign up for a free account. You can register using your email or Google account. North Macedonia traders do not need to provide ID at this stage. The free plan gives you basic charting tools, but for more indicators and real-time data, consider the Pro or Premium plans (paid in USD).
Step 2: Choose a Regulated Broker in North Macedonia
TradingView does not execute trades directly. You need a broker that supports TradingView integration. Look for brokers regulated by the local financial authority or reputable European regulators (e.g., CySEC, FCA). Ensure the broker accepts North Macedonia residents and supports payment methods like Bank Transfer, Skrill, or USDT. Some popular options include IC Markets, Pepperstone, and FXTM.
Step 3: Connect Your Broker to TradingView
Once you have a broker account, log in to TradingView and click on the 'Trading Panel' at the bottom. Select 'Connect Broker' and search for your broker. Follow the prompts to authorize the connection. You may need your broker account number and API key. After connection, you can place trades directly from TradingView charts.
Step 4: Set Up Your Charts
Choose a forex pair from the 'Symbol Search' bar. Use the toolbar to add indicators like Moving Averages, RSI, or Bollinger Bands. You can save your chart layout for future use. For North Macedonia traders, it's useful to set the chart timezone to 'Europe/Skopje' for local market hours.
Step 5: Start Trading
With your broker connected, click on the 'Trade' button on the chart. Set your trade size (lot size), stop loss, and take profit. Confirm the trade. Remember to use risk management, especially with leverage. North Macedonia traders should start with a demo account first to practice.
