How to Use TradingView for Forex
What is TradingView and Why Use It?
TradingView is a cloud-based charting and social trading platform used by millions of traders worldwide. For Mongolia traders, it offers real-time forex data, advanced technical indicators, drawing tools, and a community of traders sharing ideas. You can access it via web browser or mobile app (iOS/Android).
Step 1: Create a TradingView Account
Go to TradingView.com and sign up using your email, Google, or Facebook account. Choose the free plan to start. Later, you can upgrade to Pro, Pro+, or Premium for more features like multiple charts and real-time data from major exchanges.
Step 2: Set Up Your Forex Charts
After logging in, click on 'Chart' at the top. Select a forex pair like EUR/USD or USD/JPY. Adjust the time frame (1m, 5m, 1h, daily, etc.). Add indicators like Moving Averages, RSI, MACD, or Bollinger Bands from the 'Indicators' menu. You can save your layout for future use.
Step 3: Use Drawing Tools for Analysis
TradingView provides trend lines, Fibonacci retracements, support/resistance levels, and more. Draw these directly on your chart to identify entry and exit points. For example, draw a trend line on USD/MNT to spot breakouts.
Step 4: Connect to a Broker
To trade directly from TradingView, you need a broker that supports integration. Popular brokers for Mongolia include IC Markets, XM, and FBS. After opening a live account, go to the 'Trade' panel on TradingView, select your broker, and enter your account credentials. You can then place orders directly from the chart.
Step 5: Use Alerts and Watchlists
Set price alerts for key levels on your forex pairs. Create a watchlist of pairs you monitor regularly. TradingView sends email or push notifications when your conditions are met.
