How to Use TradingView for Forex
Step 1: Create a TradingView Account
Visit TradingView.com and sign up for a free account. You can use your email, Google, or social media login. Cambodian traders can choose USD as the default currency for display. A free account gives you basic charting tools, but upgrading to Pro (approx. $12.95/month) unlocks more indicators and real-time data.
Step 2: Set Up Your Forex Charts
After logging in, click on the ‘Chart’ tab. Select the forex pair you want to trade, such as EUR/USD or USD/JPY. Use the ‘Symbol Search’ bar at the top. For Cambodia traders, USD-based pairs are most common because the local economy uses USD widely. You can also add Cambodian riel (KHR) pairs if your broker offers them.
Step 3: Customize Indicators and Tools
TradingView offers hundreds of built-in indicators like Moving Averages, RSI, MACD, and Bollinger Bands. Click ‘Indicators’ at the top to add them. You can also create custom scripts using Pine Script. For Cambodia traders, focus on indicators that suit your trading style – scalping, day trading, or swing trading.
Step 4: Connect Your Broker to TradingView
TradingView supports direct integration with many brokers. Go to ‘Trading Panel’ at the bottom and select your broker from the list. If your broker is not listed, you can still use TradingView for charting and place trades manually on your broker’s platform. Ensure your broker accepts Cambodia traders and supports local payment methods like Bank Transfer, Skrill, or USDT.
Step 5: Use Alerts and Watchlists
Set price alerts by right-clicking on the chart and selecting ‘Add Alert’. You can receive notifications via email, SMS, or push notification. Create watchlists for pairs you monitor frequently. Cambodian traders can set alerts for key USD/KHR levels or major forex pairs.
