How to Use TradingView for Forex
What is TradingView and Why Armenia Traders Use It
TradingView is a web-based and mobile charting platform that offers professional-grade tools for technical analysis. Forex traders in Armenia prefer it because of its intuitive interface, over 100 built-in indicators, and the ability to share ideas with a global community. Unlike MetaTrader 4 or 5, TradingView runs entirely in your browser — no downloads required. You can access it on your desktop, tablet, or phone, making it ideal for traders on the go in Yerevan or anywhere in Armenia.
Step 1: Choose a Broker Compatible with TradingView
To trade forex using TradingView, you need a broker that supports TradingView integration. Not all brokers offer this. For Armenia traders, look for brokers that accept local payment methods like Bank Transfer (AMD or USD), Skrill, or USDT. Popular choices include IC Markets (supports Skrill and USDT), Pepperstone (supports Bank Transfer and Skrill), and FXTM (supports Bank Transfer and USDT). Ensure the broker is regulated by the local financial authority or a top-tier regulator like FCA or CySEC for added safety.
Step 2: Open a Live Trading Account
Once you select a broker, visit their website and click 'Open Account'. You will need to provide personal details such as your full name, email, phone number, and residential address in Armenia. Choose an account type — typically Standard or Raw Spread. Set the base currency to USD (US Dollar) to match your trading capital. Complete the registration and verify your email address.
Step 3: Complete KYC Verification
Armenia traders must complete Know Your Customer (KYC) verification. Upload a clear copy of your national ID (Armenian passport or ID card) and a proof of residence (utility bill or bank statement in your name, dated within 3 months). The broker will review and approve your documents, usually within 24-48 hours. Some brokers may also require a selfie holding your ID.
Step 4: Fund Your Account
After KYC approval, log into your broker's client area and go to the deposit section. Choose your preferred method: Bank Transfer (minimum deposit usually $100-$500, takes 1-3 business days), Skrill (instant, minimum $10, low fees), or USDT (instant, minimum $20, no fees). Enter the amount and confirm. Funds will appear in your trading account within minutes for e-wallets and crypto, or 1-3 days for bank transfers.
Step 5: Connect TradingView to Your Broker
Log into your TradingView account. Click on the 'Trade' panel at the bottom of the screen. Select 'Connect Broker' and choose your broker from the list. Enter your broker account ID and password (or API key if required). Once connected, you can place buy/sell orders directly from TradingView charts. You can also set stop loss, take profit, and manage risk from the platform.
Step 6: Start Analyzing and Trading
Use TradingView's powerful tools to analyze forex pairs like EUR/USD, GBP/JPY, or USD/AMD (if available). Apply indicators like Moving Averages, RSI, MACD, or Bollinger Bands. Set price alerts for key levels. When you see a trading opportunity, click the 'Trade' button, enter your order size, and execute. Monitor your open positions and adjust as needed.
