How to Use RSI Indicator in Forex
What is the RSI Indicator?
The RSI measures the speed and change of price movements on a scale of 0 to 100. Readings above 70 indicate overbought conditions (potential sell signal), while readings below 30 suggest oversold conditions (potential buy signal). Developed by J. Welles Wilder, it is one of the most reliable indicators for retail forex traders in Belize.
How to Apply RSI in Belize Forex Trading
Step 1: Open your MT4 or MT5 platform and attach the RSI indicator from the 'Insert' menu. Step 2: Set the period to 14 (default) for daily charts or 7 for shorter timeframes. Step 3: Look for RSI crossing above 70 (sell) or below 30 (buy). Step 4: Confirm with price action—for example, if RSI is oversold but price is forming a bullish candlestick pattern, consider a buy trade on USD/BZD.
Belize-Specific Example
Suppose you are trading USD/BZD on a 1-hour chart. RSI drops to 25, indicating oversold. You check the Belize economic calendar—no major news expected. You wait for RSI to cross back above 30 and enter a buy trade. Set stop loss below the recent swing low and take profit at the next resistance level. This strategy works well with small accounts funded via Skrill or USDT.
